Yes, I was asked to make one more. This one will go to the deceased person's mother. You can see the other ones: one, two, three, four, and five. This one is once again machine pieced and quilted. It is 49 in X 63 in.
And here two close ups.
I am a plastic surgeon in Little Rock, AR. I used to "suture for a living", I continue "to live to sew". These days most of my sewing is piecing quilts. I love the patterns and interplay of the fabric color. I would like to explore writing about medical/surgical topics as well as sewing/quilting topics. I will do my best to make sure both are represented accurately as I share with both colleagues and the general public.

My goodness you get a lot done! I love the use of stripes and plaids in this one - I'm always hesitant to use stripes but when I do I'm rarely disappointed. Just need more confidence I guess! Beautiful.... blessings, marlene
Thanks, Marlene.
It is lovely. Does it also have the route 66 material for backing?
No, I just used a pretty "gold" floral since it was for his mother.
Ramona, you better be careful we'll all be placing orders! :)
