Honeycomb Baby Blanket

Recently finished knitting this baby blanket for a cousin baby (expected this fall).  The finished blocked blanket measures 35 in square.  The pattern is Honeycomb by Nikki Van De Ca.  The yarn is Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Merino in colorway #63 (pale lilac).  The first photo is while the blocking was being done and the yarn was still wet.
This and the next one show the blanket after blocking was completed.

Gym Bag

I recently made this gym bag. The green lining is an old army duffel bag that once belonged to my dad (he died when I was 8 yrs old).  I altered the pattern I used to make my yoga mat bag.  This bag is shorter (finished length approx 18 in, 8 in wide, 8 in high).  This one has two center zippered pockets and two mesh pockets on the inside.  I also added a strapped key hook.  My only regret is not making the straps a little longer.
Mesh pocket with the key hook before I turned the bag right side out.

I used a label from a nephew's old jeans (it says made in America) to cover a badly frayed area of the lining fabric.

Beautiful Wall Brick Quilt

This small quilt was made for the Border Wall Quilt Project (https://www.leamccomas.com/border-wall-quilt-project/).  It is 8 in X 16 in.

My inspiration was by President Trump's tweet on December 18, 2018 that the border wall would not be made of concrete but of “artistically designed steel slats, so that you can see through it ….It will be beautiful and, at the same time, give our Country the security that our citizens deserve.”
I added green leafy vines up the steel slates to add help “beautify” the wall.

Three More Knitted Hats

The first hat was knit using the pattern Jason's Cashmere Hat by Melissa Thomson.  The yarn is Malabrigo Yarn Rios in colorway Diana (#886).  I think I may keep this one.
The second one was knit at my husband's request.  I used the Regular Guy Beanie by Chuck Wright.  The yarn is Cascade Superwash 220 in black.
I then used the leftover yarn from the above two hats to knit the third one seen below. I used the pattern Gingerbread Hat by Angela Whisnant.
