All American Flag Quilt

This quilt began with the square of fabric picturing the cottage which occupies the center of the blue field.    You know -- “the home is where the hear is.”  The same can often be said for how we feel towards our countries.  It’s the feeling that keeps Bongi in South Africa.  His love of the Kruger and all things Afrikaans.
I have made a few flag quilts similar to this one (note the one in my sidebar which hangs in my office).  This one is a smaller version of this QOV flag quilt.  This “all American flag quilt” is 18 in X 28 in.  It is machine pieced and quilted.
Here’s a close up of the cottage fabric and the quilting of the blue field.
Here is a photo showing some fabric lining the front pocket of some old blue jeans.
I included some fabric from a War Eagle cornbread mix.  The recipe is in the lower corner.
Here you can see the quilting.

What a great way to use up scraps. I LOVE this one. You keep giving me great ideas for quilts. Can you give me the time to make them? LOL

Thanks! Sandra, would love to be able to "bottle" time so I could save or give it away. :)
