Savanna Knit Top

I knit this top for myself using the pattern Savanna by Shellie Anderson.  The yarn is  Shibui Knits Rain in the colorway Tar.  I like how it turned out and am looking forward to wearing it.

Scrappy Log Cabinish Quilt

I have lots of fabric scraps as I find it difficult to throw them away.  This quilt was made in a log cabin sort of fashion.  It is machine pieced and quilted.  It measures 36 in X 48 in. Here are photos of the whole quilt and some of the fabric details. 

One and Done Shawl

This scarf/shawl was made using the pattern One & Done by Casapinka. The yarn is  Shibui Knits Lunar in caffeine colorway.  It measures 68 in long and 16 in deep.

Friends

I made this small quilt, 18 in X 24 in, to enter into the Sacred Threads "Backyard Escape" healing quilt exhibit. I hope it will be chosen to travel with the exhibit.  The quilt is machine appliqued and quilted.  

Fidget Sleeves

I have a friend who is an administrator at an adult day care for individuals with dementia in Tennessee. She has been hinting at me knitting fidget sleeves (tagging me on Facebook on articles about them) so I finally did using left over yarns.  The first one I did using the Fidget Sleeve pattern by bonnie bunny (free pattern found on Ravelry).  

 The second one I did using the pattern Evie (fingerless gloves) by Yarnthology.  I used the pattern for the textures, making the length of the "sleeve" longer than the glove cuff.  The beads where prestrung and the I tied on a extra bobble (green bead with gold piece).

This one was made using the wave and medium fish from the Shiver of Sharks Socks pattern by Laura Cunitz.  Again the beads were prestrung.  I then tied on some fringe yarn pieces as "seaweed." 

 This one was a simple cuff (k2, p2) which then changed to k3, p1 for the body.

I have mailed them to her and asked for feedback on any changes that would make them better.

Elementary Watson Socks

I knit these socks using the pattern Elementary Watson Socks by Sherry Mento.  The yarn is Schachenmayr Regia Pairfect in colorway #06819.  I like how they turned out. I gave them to my husband.

Dog Sweater for Small Dog

There is a small dog (12 lbs) who comes to the Athletic Club with her owner.  I knit this dog sweater using four different leftover yarns.  The pattern is Red Heart Dog Sweater from Yarnspiration. 

Blanket in Blue

I recently finished this blanket.  It was knit using the pattern Blue Blanket by LondonLeo (found on Ravelry).  The yarn is Cascade Yarns ® 220 Superwash® Sport in colorway smoke blue.  After blocking it measures !32 in X 44 in.  I'm not sure who it will be gifted to at this time.

Two Small Quilts

This first one was made using a kit I bought from a local fabric/quilt store. I did the blanket stitch by hand around each fused fabric piece the sewed on the buttons/beads and added the binding.  It is approx 5 x 7 in in size.

This red bird was done using a pattern I found on the internet (unsure of source now).  The pieces were fused in place then machine appliqued.  I hand embroidered the small branches with greenery.  The birds eye is a small black bead. I hand quilted it before adding the binding.  It measures approx 5x7 in in size. 

Cardinal Fabric Postcard

My most recent fabric postcard features a cardinal.  It is machine appliqued, hand embroidered, and hand quilted.  It measures approx 5 in x 7 in.

Shiver of Shark Socks

I knit these socks using a kit from Jimmy Beans Wool.  The pattern is Shiver of Sharks Socks by Laura Cunit.  The yarn is  Valkyrie Fibers Matte Sock in colorways Shallow Waters and Open Ocean.  I had to reknit the bind off twice as it was too tight using Icelandic bind off suggested in the pattern.  I ended up Jenny's magic bind off.  I still don't feel super comfortable knitting socks but they turned out pretty well.

Afghan for a Friend

I knit this afghan for a friend who recently retired.  I used the pattern Sunny Baby Blanket by Lucie Sinkler, casting on extra stitches to make it larger. The yarn is Cascade Yarns Pacific in white.  The finished afghan measures 42 in X 58 in.
