Chevron Baby Blanket
This small afghan was knit for a baby whose family lives in Arizona. I tried to pick colors that reminded me of the desert flora I saw on my trip there this spring. They looked great lined up together but I'm not perfectly happy with the finished blanket. I think it might have looked better if I had knit a strip of each color at each end rather than two strips of two colors at opposite ends. It was knit using the pattern "The Walt Painted Chevron Baby Blanket" by Danielle Romanett. The yarn is
Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash in colors
228 Frosted Almond,
859 Lake Chalan Heather,
253 Desert Sun,
253 copper heather, and
1919 Turtle. It measures approx 33 in X 43 in.

Shoreline Bag
This is the first project I have crocheted in a long while. I saw this kit by Wool and the Gang for this bag (Shoreline Bag) knit with yarn made of recycled plastic bottles mixed with cotton. I purchased the kit and made the bag to give to a sister who loves going to the beach. Her birthday is later this month. The bag measures approx 20 in wide x 15 in high x 6 in deep.

Honeycomb Baby Blanket
Recently finished knitting this baby blanket for a cousin baby (expected this fall). The finished blocked blanket measures 35 in square. The pattern is Honeycomb
by Nikki Van De Ca. The yarn is Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Merino in colorway #63 (pale lilac). The first photo is while the blocking was being done and the yarn was still wet.
This and the next one show the blanket after blocking was completed. Friday, March 8, 2019
Gym Bag
I recently made this gym bag. The green lining is an old army duffel bag that once belonged to my dad (he died when I was 8 yrs old). I altered the pattern I used to make my yoga mat bag. This bag is shorter (finished length approx 18 in, 8 in wide, 8 in high). This one has two center zippered pockets and two mesh pockets on the inside. I also added a strapped key hook. My only regret is not making the straps a little longer.
Mesh pocket with the key hook before I turned the bag right side out.I used a label from a nephew's old jeans (it says made in America) to cover a badly frayed area of the lining fabric.
