I knit this afghan for me. I love how it turned out. The pattern is
Haverfordwest Reversible Blanket
by John Lloyd. The yarn is Plymouth Yarn Encore Chunky.
This photo is before I finished but show the detail.
I am a plastic surgeon in Little Rock, AR. I used to "suture for a living", I continue "to live to sew". These days most of my sewing is piecing quilts. I love the patterns and interplay of the fabric color. I would like to explore writing about medical/surgical topics as well as sewing/quilting topics. I will do my best to make sure both are represented accurately as I share with both colleagues and the general public.

Two Hand Fabric Postcards
These two small postcards are approx 5 in x 7 in. I printed both photos (found on the internet) onto fabric and then machine quilted the cards. The first one features a hand holding a Rubik's cube. I made it as a birthday card for an old friend/mentor who turns 70 later this month.
The second one features two individuals holding hands. It is going to a different old friend and mentor.

Flag Quilt with Hearts
This small quilt, 16 in square, was made for the Quilt Alliance 2016 contest. The theme this year is playing favorites. I happen to love flag quilts. I also am fond of scrape quilts and this one uses multiple red and beige fabrics. It is machine pieced and quilted.
